- Check how much maximum space is available under a hatch. For most common sizes, a space of 200 to 300 mm is necessary to ensure that the gas springs can work optimally. If the gas spring is too flat, there is a possibility that the gas springs will not help open the hatch, and when closing, the hatch may fall shut at the last moment.
- Consider which fasteners you can/want to use.
- Always try to use 2 gas springs per hatch or flap, or possibly 1 in the middle. When using only 1 gas spring on the outside, there is a chance of skewing.
- If you have a non-standard construction, please send a drawing or sketch with dimensions and weights.
- Important: the better the data, the better the functioning of the gas springs.
